Would you like to learn about ways to positively impact students by lowering textbook costs and increasing the relevancy of learning materials? Have you heard the phrase “OER” and not fully understood what it meant? Attend our class, OER: Covering the Basics of Open Educational Resources and How to Find Them! This one-hour session will define OER, provide background for the movement, and demonstrate how to find relevant OER for your subject area. 

Learning Outcomes and Objectives

  1. Explain OER and identify the 5 R’s. 
  2. Locate and recognize OER.  
  3. Distinguish between OER and Open Access.
  4. Understand the benefits of OER for students.
