Evaluating Redundancy and Research Waste through Living Syntheses

Evaluating Redundancy and Research Waste through Living Syntheses Online

More than 100 review syntheses have analysed the effects of exercise on older adults with cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease. Surprisingly, nearly half of these are meta-analyses, proposing similar aims and methodologies.

This duplication, or redundancy, not only increases research waste, but can also confuse both clinicians and patients.

In this webinar, will unveil an ongoing umbrell systematic review, ongoing since 2010, and examine the redundant representation of Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) across these published meta-analyses.
